Re-consider the Givi windscreen in that case. It includes hand protection.
Somebody here will hopefully be interested in your 'mistake' and takes only a couple minutes to install.....

Hi,
I have a huge windscreen - Biondi - which has protection for hands but the screen itself is way to high for me - i am forced to look ahead through windscreen which I don't like. I will have to cut from it about 15cm.
