Re: Trailer hitch
No I did not see your set up before, looks good, nice pictures, looks like it was a great trip,I'm thinking of putting a hitch on my sh 150. Because I'm thinking of selling my honda st 1300 it had more storage 115 liters total and sh 150 35liters top box + under seat+one pack sack on groceries hook, we need aprox 150liters total (without cooler, food)it would be nice to go camping on 2wheels. We're did you attach hitch to scooter? Thanks again Don(taos)

Re: Trailer hitch
It has one u-shaped pipe which hangs on the topbolt of the shockabsorbers
On the right side it has a pull bar from the ball to the central pivot point of the rear arm/engine.
So the u-bar takes the vertical load and the pull bar takes the horizontal load.
Its quite a job to make everything fit, especialy the pull bar which goes between exhaust and rearwheel gave me some headaches.

Re: Trailer hitch
Thanks again ,I will be making a trailer hitch ,in canada we don't have too many ultra light trailers, most weight 100lbs or more and most are wider , I maybe will build my own or go with a one wheel style trailer.

Re: Trailer hitch
Keep the rules in mind, in europe they are; maximum pulling weight=50% of the motorcycle weight.
I am quite sure something like that will be in your country also the case but inform yourself before you start building.
With a sh150 it means approx 140 KG:2= 70 KG and that is not so much if you take in to account the weight of the trailer,so it should be as light as possible otherwise there will be nothing left to put in to the trailer.
Single wheel will a bit lighter but these have specific problems, for one the hitch is usually higher so the trailer will self-balance , on a sh150 there is not very much room for this without blocking the rear light.
If you want to get some ideas look here: http://www.tourmaster.nl , its a dutch site and a bit messy but also in english and there are enough pictures to get ideas.
Also look in the webshop as there are also photos.

Re: Trailer hitch
I think your right about tow weight being 1/2 of tow vehicle ,I know this is the case for cars not 100% sure on motorcycles ,in canada, but I will check, and that's a good point about hitch on one wheel trailers blocking rear light guest I'm going for two wheel trailer, thanks again for that web link on trailers and hitch set up.
