Buzzetti sidestands suck!

Post by cbrcrx » Fri Dec 18, 2015 9:57 pm

I bought one of these for my Elite 110 because the centerstand drags. Well, it drags even easier. I won't be buying one for the SH. I contacted them and they won't give me a refund because it is scratched from dragging. They said that they have never had a customer complain and I must be too aggressive of a rider. Does nobody else have this problem?

I have used the Buzzetti side-stand on 2 SH150i for ~26,000 miles and it has yet to tickle the pavement
and I don't always ride like somebodies Ma-ma.
Just sayin'......

Well, I bought and installed this sidestand. It is just as bad, if not worse about dragging than the one on the Elite. I can't believe they even sell these. I don't understand how you guys don't drag yours. It isn't even safe. Before you start making excuses as to why it drags, there isn't an incorrect way to install it and I weigh 175lbs.

I have 2 installed and haven't even thought about dragging one of them in >27,000 miles.
They are not 'easy' to install properly and I wonder if you got the correct part#.........
Where it MUST bolt on, on first appearance, doesn't seem possible.......but is doable.
Tight-quarters with other 'easier' options close at hand........
Double-check everything with a fresh mind and outlook.

I'm happy with mine. A little tricky to get in the right place but once there I don't see it dragging even possible.
The Ubolt it comes with is kind of crappy, had to retite mine a couple of times. The last time I had the belly pan off I and after snugging up the cheap Ubolt I noticed 2 nice and easy to get at opposing spots for a small weld.
Will take some pics when I do that. Not at all worried about making it permanent. (I'm a welder/fabricator so "permanent" isn't in my vocabulary when it comes to metals-ferrous or non.)

Also, I only had to cut a small piece of the insert of the belly pan. Hard to explain but will post a pic of that soon.

There is no way to install it wrong because of the hole in it that has to line up on the piece sticking out of the frame. After you slide it over that hole, you can only install it in one exact place because of the hole location and the u bolt.
