My 2010 SH150i usually starts up quickly.
A week or so ago I rode to a restaurant, all good.
When it was time to leave, I had an "engine cranks, but no start" situation. No fire at all.
I noticed the PGM FI MIL light (Programmed Fuel Injection Malfunction Indicator Light), the yellow one above the speedometer with what looks like an engine block icon on it, was not coming on. (It is supposed to come on when you turn on the key, for a few seconds, then turn off, to indicate the fuel injection system is working.)
After many tries I gave up and had the bike towed home.
Arriving home, I took the bike off the tow truck, tried it again, and it started right up.
A ordered a new fuel pump. $70
I replaced the fuel pump (it still had the 2010 original), in case there was an intermittency with the fuel pump.
It started right up and seemed to run OK after replacing the fuel pump, but I'm wondering if perhaps there's an electrical gremlin lurking, waiting for a moment to strike.
Has anyone had a similar situation, where the PGM FI MIL light would not come on, or would work intermittently?
Thanks!

Re: PGM FI light is intermittent
I had an intermittent light when my battery started to go bad. New battery, problem solved.

Re: PGM FI light is intermittent
Giving everyone an update. After almost 2 weeks, with several long rides and many short ones, all is good.
Apparently the fuel pump was indeed the problem.
Ride safely!
