Some questions

Post by Jay » Sun Oct 18, 2009 1:19 pm

I've haven't been able to find an on-line version of the owner's manual for the North American SH150i to provide answers to some questions, so I thought I'd post them here.

1) Are the tires tubeless or tube-type?
2) What is the recommended oil change interval?
3) What is the recommended break-in procedure?
4) Does the fuel gauge have a low fuel warning light?

TIA for your help.

Excellent questions for which I also would like the answers.

Tubless

2) What is the recommended oil change interval?
First oil change at 600 miles, then every 3000 miles I think.

3) What is the recommended break-in procedure?
I am going on memory here, but I am pretty sure the manual says something like "during the first 300 miles avoid full-throttle starts and rapid acceleration." That is all it says for break-in.

4) Does the fuel gauge have a low fuel warning light?
No, but IMO the fuel gauge works good and there is no need for a warning light.

In the manual, it says the fuel tank holds 1.98 US Gallons and the fuel gauge will be on Empty at somewhere around 0.5 Gallons left so there is sort of a built in warning to get gas.

Thank you. Anything on valve adjustment in the scheduled maintenance?

I can't remember what the manual says, but with Hondas valve adjustments are so rarely needed it's not something to worry about.
