High speed spark plug

Post by ccarlock12 » Tue Aug 10, 2010 7:51 pm

Hello all,

I have been reading about high speed spark plugs. So I have a couple of questions. What is the benefit of a high speed plug? What qualifies as high speed? What high speed spark plug should I get?

I live in an area where this is some stop and go traffic but the average posted limits are 40 mph and I would say I average 40-45mph

Thanks for the help

I'm not familiar with the term high speed plug but if I had to guess I'd say that plug is one temperature range colder then the stock one.

You don't need the 1 heat range colder plug. If you were riding close to flat out for an extended length of time or with a heavy load at large throttle openings then you would consider going to the colder plug.
BTW, I've got 1 brand new if you want to buy it.
