Malossi RS24 Shock Absorber question

Post by Mikey » Sat May 31, 2014 2:27 am

I'll finally be changing out my dunlop tires in a few weeks to the City Grips and thought it would be a great time to upgrade the shocks. Anyone have any expreience with the Malossi RS24. I found a set for $270.00 at scooter parts international. http://www.spi-parts.com/scooter-parts- ... t-h20.html Thats the cheapest I could find them
The stock shocks are 27.65 each at Partzilla. Very inexpensive to throw two new stock shocks on.

Anyone have anything good to say about the Malossi shocks?

If you look at the picture Mallosi puts the preload adjusters at the top of the shock. Does not seem like it would be easy to adjust on the fly.

This seems to be a much better shock but also much more expensive!

The Malossi shocks make a noticeable difference in the ride of the scooter i would know i had them on my bike. You can also adjust the shocks by hand at the top of the shock if you have strong hands you don't even need a shock adjusting tool. to be honest if your not carrying a passenger on your SH the second tension setting on the malossi shocks is fine. again it all varies with the weight of the initial rider and passenger weight im 6'3 240 pounds for comparison.

Thanks for the website crowfly. And thanks Bemuda. Just seems that the plastic of the body would be covering up the adjustment area. The stock shocks seem to bottom out easily. I know they do not have much travel.

They get really soft after a while, i have mine for some time and i now am on the stiffest setting.
i would definately go with the bitubos but the adjustment is kind of a pain in the adjustment.
