SH 150 DTC 29???

Post by valyo » Sat Apr 23, 2016 8:11 am

Hi there

I own a 2007 SH 150.

Several days ago it just wouldn't start. After several hours waiting, it did start normally, but DTC 29 appeared (2 long blinks followed by 9 short ones).

I just couldn't find any info about this specific DTC.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Valyo,
If you use the "Search" function with different key-words......I know this has been discussed in many different posts in the past.
I found this one for instance: (Scroll UP for chart/image)
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1650&p=4947&hilit=code+blink#p4947
Good Luck!

Thank you, TommyXP!

It seems that the problem has to do with the IAC valve - maybe some loose connection or valve failure.

Where can I find it?
or
Can anyone send me a repair manual (so far couldn't find throughout the web)?

Thanks in advance!

Due to copyright issues you will not find a "Honda Factory Service Manual" on the 'web'.....
Search e-bay or others.....
Good Luck!

Youre not gona like this....
From the sm;

MIL 29 BLINKS (IAC VALVE)
1. Recheck MIL Erase the self-diagnostic memory to reset the ECM (page 5-8****or my previous post as mentioned above****).
Start the engine and let it idle.
Check that the MIL blinks.
Is the MIL blinking?
NO - Temporarily failure; the system is normal.
YES - Replace the throttle body/ECM assembly with a new one, and inspect again.

[edit] apparently the IAC valve is a non-servicable part included in the throttle body/ecm, ik know that if you do take it apart you can definitly toss it in the bin as opening the valve ruins the calibration.
Failure is not an option, it comes bundled with the package.
