Minimum fuel required.

Post by YellowJacket » Fri Sep 08, 2017 4:36 pm

Just got my new to me SHi home yesterday but no owners manual with it. Can't find the DOT tag that should list the fuel octane required. Can anyone tell me what is needed? I'm almost out of gas out.

Only BMWs are designed to take the most expensive fuel. Thanks but no thanks!

Back again with another question. When checking engine oil, do you screw the dipstick all the way in or just insert it into the hole? Depending on the make, both methods are used. Remember, I do not have an owners manual.

Thanks Tom. I should have checked that before I ever rode it but forgot.

Next Question, what is the size and weight of the stock rollers?

If you need more info, once the Sun comes up, I could put a set of calipers to one.....

A brand-spanking-new 'factory' roller weighs, according to my lil' digital pocket scale 12.4g or 0.430z.
And is .587" wide and .790" tall with an inner diameter of .510".......
Hope this helps.
