I paid $2,500 for the new used SHcooter, in Texas, had it shipped to Miami for $360.

I bought it from a motorcycle dealer. They gave it an inspection, put in a new battery, got it running. It even came with a full tank of gas. Oil looked full and clean.

I don't have storage space for the old bike. I'm leaning towards selling it. Anyone interested?

Even with the shipping, I think you made a great investment.
Side-note: On my second SH, straight from the stealership, when I got home I noticed that it had the incorrect 'type' of battery in it. I had a hell of time educating the owner, the 'service' manager and the mechanics that though many batteries are similar ONLY an AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) battery can be laid on its side and function properly. Obviously someone had switched the original battery out. After much argument and 'them' finally doing some homework, I got my way.
Thus, check and make sure the battery is AGM. Others WILL work, for a while, and then suddenly leave you stranded,,,,,shortly..........
Enjoy your new bride!

Thanks, Tommy. I'm pretty happy with the bike so far.

And thanks for the tip on the battery. I will certainly check for that!

Don't forget to adjust the valves! Very easy if you remove the left pedal and bracket. Anyone ever think of putting the pedal bracket back on with just the bottom 10mm bolt and some locktite? The top bolt is a tough one to take on and off.

Mikey, yes, I've learned my lesson, don't worry!

Check the valves every 2,500 miles.

Thanks for the tip about removing the left pedal (footrest?).

I've put the old bike up for sale on the appropriate forum.
