SH150i dipstick length

Need help.
Lost my dipstick and oil cap while driving in city! Luckily I noticed the smoke at a stop light (coming from burning oil on the muffler) and pulled over
before any damage was done ( I hope)
Anyway, could not find the dipstick and another won't be in until October some time!
I found a lawn tractor cap that fits but need to be able to tell the level of oil in order to drive.
Could someone measure the length if the dipstick from the outside edge of the fill hole so I can make a temporary dipstick.
I really want to ride!
Thanks
Jim

Jim,
From the 'seat' the measurements are: 2¼" overall/total length and 1½" to the top of the FULL mark.
I also recall to notice that when changing oil and refilling, the oil will come up and over to the right side of crankcase and visibly just touch the side.

"seat"? Does the 2 1/4 include the threads or just the dipstick part?
Thanks Tommy, really appreciate this.

It is from the surface that meets the block. It has an o-ring on it to seal BUT the measurement is from above the seal, above the threads, which is the base of the cap.
