"Is there a simple way....."
I imagine that generations of mechanical engineers at Honda have focused their working life's attention in pursuit of this wonder too and we have arrived at the present 'state-of-the-Art' due to a delicate balance of many intertwined factors that all influence each other. We are free to get in 'there' and muck-around in order to possibly increase a single factor that happens to be the focus of our present potential happiness BUT at the expense of losing that fine, long striven for 'harmonic balance'; unless we also make modifications of other components within the 'daisy-chain' too. Thus the appearance of the SH150-SH300 on the scene; in order to increase our 'free-time' and put a cap on just how much we want to 'learn' via our own experience.
I don't wish to discourage anyone from 'trying', as all learning experience is good even if the results are less than hoped for, or opens 'cans-of-worms' from within Pandora's Box that we wish were never visited upon us.
Personally, I side with Solon and his response when the richest man in the world showed him palaces of treasures and claimed it to be the source of all happiness:
"The wealth of gold abounding Croesus is no concern to me.
Ambition offers no temptation; from envy I am free.
The god's affairs I do not question; no monarch would I be.
I am content, wherever I'm sent, with mediocrity.........."

Here in the UK we get the 125,
Other markets get the 150...
You can get a 153 cylinder and barrel kit from the Bay...
Dunno how much more power, 1 or 2 bhp?
Blurb for the kit states a bit more torque...
So a maybe a bit better hill climbing or head wind resiliance...
Anything else will be arsing aboutcwith injecter, ECU, gear up etc...
All prolly not worth the cost.

I recomend trying Dr Pulley Rollers in the Variator...
Do a google on how it works, a little like a tooth of the front at pulling away, and a tooth on when max revs crusing...
Go OE weight rather than lighter, as it otherwise makes it to revvy.
I have fitted them to lots of my scooters...
