Dirt Gravel Tire Suggestions?

I have Michelin City Grip tires (3rd set) on my SH150i and love them for the city. However, am now looking at taking a more "off-road" (dirt/gravel/forest road) trip (Kansas City to Seattle through Glacier National Park) and am looking for some suggestions on tires that would work on the road but also give more "grip" for gravel/dirt. Anyone have experience with alternative tires they'd be willing to comment on or recommend?

The only tire I know off that could offer more grip is the Heidenau K66.
It's profile is considerably deeper than most street tires.

Please note there are two versions of the K66. One is an “all season” tire and the other is the K66 Snowtex. The later is the snow tire and hard to find in the US. In Europe they are often mounted on scooters which are used the whole year through.

It is possible to mount MX tires, but they are useless on asphalt:

Others have mentioned the Anlas Winter Grip 2 (only place I've found them so far is in the UK)...

Also others have indicated unless really in lots of mud/snow stay with the M CityGrips as 90% of trip will be on pavement...

Still thinking it over. By the way notice you're in Belgium. I've spend lots of time in Venlo and have scootered extensively throughout Germany, Netherlands and Czech Republic (worked for a transportation company and could ship my Honda over for free...) and although retired, really miss puttering around Europe on days off.
