2020 Sh125

Post by SH125Paul » Tue Feb 18, 2020 1:15 pm

So after seeing the 2020 Sh125 at the bike show...
Looking to strike a deal to PX my '15 Sh125 with 33,000 miles for the new model...
Gonna need the top box, screen and knuckle guards like like my current one
I'll see how i go with a couple of local-ish dealers...
It's all about the cost to change...

Wondering what features or improvements that influenced your decision......I haven't seen any stats and know nothing....

All New 2020 SH125
https://www.honda.co.uk/motorcycles/ran ... rview.html

After an hour or so in the garage with Parasene and Mr Sheen...
Off to Doble Motorcycles
New 2020 Sh125, £3399, Prep fee £99, Tracker fit £99, Screen £137, Handguards £14 - £3748
Chatted about the £1100 estimated offer to PX as 33,000 miles, but home serviced and no service history etc... Chatted some more... He pressed buttons on the calculator a few times...
I came away with a deal i was happy with...

Based on the last two changes, I put £50 a month away in to the 'New Scooter Fund'... 4 Years later, £2400, then the residual trade in £1000 - £1200... = New Scooter...
Basing it on a Season Ticket of £1800 - £2000 or so over the 4 years...
Another £50 a month petrol... another £50 a month to cover servicing, insurance, pair tyres etc.
Gonna break about even over the train, plus have the scoot for more than just getting to work...

Could do it cheaper... keep the scoot and run it into the ground...
But it will at some point start having issues and cost to keep going, and maybe let me down...

Another year would be seeing 40,000 miles and the scoot not worth a lot... So i think i'm timing it about right...
Maybe I'll keep this Sh a while longer...

Available for collection expected sometime in March...
