Fuel Economy

Post by BillShepard » Tue Jun 16, 2009 11:50 am

I just wanted to report that after 550 miles, I am averaging 86 mpg on my SH. My riding is a mix of town/country, with speeds usually below 50 mph.

That's pretty impressive fuel economy for a 150. Nice. I wonder if you'll see any change as the scooter ages.

Very nice indeed if I stay out of my GT200 I can barely squeek out 70 mpg!

I currently have the Vespa LX 150...I'd love to get the opportunity to ride the SH. I went to Vespa because of Honda's lack of a 100 150 cc class. I wonder how the two stack up next to each other. In addition the new Elite looks pretty badass.

Mine SH125 07reg does about 70+ US(90+ UK) MPG ridden hard and a lot at 60mph. Cannot get less whatever I do :)
I have a wide Givi screen cut to height which does not help with economy but keeps me dry. The economy goes right down at high speeds. It gets 100+ if ridden carefully and slowly ( boring :D )
