Cool bad-ass exhaust !

You gotta take the db limiter out!

It might be too noisy with the db removed... it now seems my neighbors hear me from 2 blocks!

I know

I know from italian forum some owners modify the db killer to get in between, not so load as no db killer but enough noise to make it sound nice and give a good roar.

Is this can happen with a bigger db hole... another db killer? or maybe just cutting the neck :?
I'm afraid that if i try to modify will have consequences later on!!!

btw monday i'll call in order to bye a juice box. i think is a good idea since i have also a DNA air/filter .

I have no idea how they modified the db killer,if you want to do it i would suggest you first get a second db killer to play around with and leave the original one as it is.
I know for some exhausts from mivv there are optional db-killers with a bigger hole, not sure if that also is for the GP.

Logically it should be shorter and wider, the diameter of the pipe can be easily the same as the diameter of the header pipe which goes from the engine to the exhaust.

I have seen you use rizoma weights, what is the weight? , you can go as low as 9.2 grams.
Another mod you should consider is a gear change to convert the extra power in higher topspeed, Malossi has a very nice set for it, however installing it requires a press (5 ton or so), Polini also have a gearkit, its less sophisticated but as i am told doesnt require a press to install.

Does the scooter performs better with a bigger diameter hole on the exhaust ?

Mine should be around 40grams. I have put the long alen scrue since i feel i have more the control of steering.

Thanks for the Tips !!!

I dont concern for top speed more than have a very strong acceleration at low and mid speed. a variator is a choice but with the gp will make the sound at the beginning sound like i'm going with 60 klm. :?

Oh, i am sorry  , i thought with counterweights you meant the weights in the vario, so the rollerweights, my bad.

If the exhaust will do better with a bigger hole depends on the exhaust, some will do some dont, for the GP i dont know.
The simple test is to run it without the db-killer and see if it becomes faster, if it does it means that with a bigger hole it will go faster and so you may want to modify the db killer to get more power but with a reasonable sound level.

Your worry that a lighter variator will cause more noise is true but only on acceleration , if you reach 60 km/h and keep at that speed the noise will almost disappear.
Variator weights are so cheap that it is worth the money to experiment with them, put 10 grams in and see what happens....

I'm thinking maybe bye a malossi clutch but i don't know if i have to change the varioweights so the cluch work in low and mid range... Or maybe will be better change the variator spring to do the job with the clutch.
Is it an option have work only the clutch by itself??

What do you think about that ??
