wooo hooo it didn't sell!
The eBay auction for my SH150i ended today and it didn't sell.
I would have been fine if it had. I would have pocketed the cash and ridden my Vespa GTS. It's faster and more powerful than the SH150i. With it's more classic lines and red paint it has a higher show-off factor. On the other hand, I already have a history with the Honda (and none with the GTS). It's like an old girlfriend that has always been loyal even though I didn't deserve it. The other factor supporting selling the GTS (versus the Honda) is that I can easily get over a grand more of my money back if I sell the GTS. That's enough to pay for that big screen iMac I've been lusting for.
I was prepared to go whichever direction the karma took me.
As of yesterday I actually have someone wanting to buy the GTS Super. So, if the Honda had sold I would have eventually been left with only the vintage Vespa. It's fun for occasional rides, but I like having a modern scooter for daily stuff.

A starting bid over $4k?ThatScooterGuy wrote:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 500wt_1103
Yes. I'm crazy for selling it. It saddens me, but I need to make some room in the garage.
Are you sure you really want to sell it?

Re: SH150i for sale on eBay
Unfortunately depreciation rears its ugly head the moment anything new leaves the store, be it scooters, cars, furniture, electronics...you name it.
You can reasonably expect at least a 20% hit off the price you paid. I'm not looking for an argument here, just letting you know that your expectations of a used selling price may be very optimistic. I've bought, sold, and traded numerous vehicles over the years.
I hope I'm wrong, but the best you'll likely get for your scooter will be well under $4k, likely around $3.5k.
Good luck.

Re: SH150i for sale on eBay
Honda scooter sales are definitely slow in my neck of the woods. The lone Powerhouse dealer sold only 2 SH150i's this past season, one brand new and the one I traded in on a Silverwing.
They sold 12 new Silverwings and about the same number of 49cc Ruckus. They were the top sellers of the whole dealership. Why? Because they were both very heavily discounted by the distributor, Honda Canada.
The Sh150i was only discounted $200 down to $4799 which includes the top box in Canada. When you can get a Silverwing for $6799 vs $4799 for an SH150i it doesn't take a rocket scientist to find the better value.

Re: SH150i for sale on eBay
I don't get it, you had it back (after the Hayabusa) for like , 2 weeks?
Usually if i buy something like a motorcycle i keep it at least for several months, talking about destruction of capital.
This will cost you, imo there is no way you will sell it for what you are asking.
But on the other hand; thank god for guy's like you, i bought my SH at 600 Km's use for half price (2000 euro) from someone who needed the space.

Failure is not an option, it comes bundled with the package.
