Main stand replacement

Post by Radek » Mon Dec 25, 2017 10:57 am

Hi, I have replaced my main stand. There is problem, stand dont hold on in middle when its on. Just wonder where is problem. Its model 2006, cant find any video to see. Springs are there to hold stand to the frame when its off, but what makes stand not to move forward (towards front wheel). Stand is new so not damaged or so. Thank you for opinions, hope you understand what I talk about.

Here is link on video I have downloaded https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2hS3X7ASfk

Sorry for the Holiday-delay in approving your posts....
At the moment, I can't imagine the problem.
How does the 'new' stand compare with the old?
Something very simple going on here.......

Stand moves to the right thats ok, but same way it can move to the left up to 45 angle, (thats what I described moving towards front wheel). I can take some video on phone and place it here later.

Is there a weld or a 'stop' that may have broken off?

I think there must have been something to stop that, something to obstruct that unwanted move. I will add some video later so thinks are clear. Thank you for respond,

I have downloaded video, but it's refused because of too large. So perhaps I can download it on Youtube and leaf a link here.

Good luck.....
Whatever happened initially to damage the stand obviously caused this problem to occur.
Hope you discover the cause soon.
