Still catching up, another filter, just looked at the belt case cleaner filter and it disintegrated in my hand almost upon contact. New one ordered but not here till early next week. any temporary suggestions while waiting on the part?

If it was that bad probably better not using it anyway. Maybe make a temporary one and stay on the main roads?

Ever-since I removed the left passenger footrest and left it off: I check and wash the belt-case filter much more often because it is so EASY to get at now......

Thanks, I'll probably just wait till the new one comes in. The SH looks simple when buttoned up but not so simple on the inside. Definitely want plenty of clean air flowing through the belt case from now on. Glad to have a new main air cleaner and fresh oil in the final drive. Always thought the belt drove the rear wheels. I guess if you want a cvt to work properly, it needs to be indirect from both engine and final drive.
