Re: Longest lasting tire brand
The front Bridgestone Hoop 110/70-16mc OEM tyre on my 300 is being replaced this week. It has just completed 23,000km. Replacing with a Pirelli Diablo. Tyres this size are scarce in Australia so we don't get much choice and cheapest is A$100.

City Grips are wonderful. The Sh150i is very hard ride until you put on the city grips. Just wonderful.
Not sure on mileage yet. I'll report much later when I replace.
Really nice suggestion. Thank you

Re: Longest lasting tire brand
Changed my front and rear Metzeler Feelfree last week after 25000 km. The fronttire was gone but the rear would have made even another 5000 km...., somehow strange that the front wore down earlyer
of course i chose again the metzeler feelfree, always exellent grip and they lasted enough km´s
One thing of wich i am not too proud: the front tire had a big screw in the running surface at km 300 (first week ) and i repared it with a rapairplug and the plug stayed in the tire till the end, fortunately without ever loosing air but i sure took a risk running that long with a temporary solution and a next time i will simply take the loss and mount another new tire.

Ps. Seanstr26m, what do you mean with: The Sh150i is very hard ride until you put on the city grips...

Re: Longest lasting tire brand
Metzelers are a good tire to last that long. Thanks for sharing.....
I believe Seanstr26m was referring to the marked increase in handling that is quite pronounced when discarding the horrible Dunlops for a tire that utilizes a hard grade of rubber for the side-walls and a softer grade on the treads. Steering seems extremely agile.
If I was clown in the circus (rather than one riding the streets with my yellow vest on as I am) and had to ride my bike across a steal cable 100' above the center ring; I'd stick with my City Grips and do three shows a day!

I too ride her easily with loving care; but with a certain amount of gusto that she was built to effortlessly display.

Re: Longest lasting tire brand
Just replaced the rear tyre again @ 28,500km . Thats 5,500Km on the Pirelli. I have replaced it with a Michellin Grip. It will be interesting to see what distance this tyre does ?

Re: Longest lasting tire brand
Since I changed to the City Grips from the horrid Dunlop's that the SH came with, I've yet to change yet again.
Once it gets light out and I clear a path through the snow to the shed I'll check the hard numbers, but I am certain I have ~11,000 miles (~18KM) on the oldest SH and the tread still looks very good with no 'wear-bars' in sight......
