Honda Windshield?
Is anyone using the Honda (not Givi) windshield and how do you like it?

Re: Honda Windshield?
When I purchased my sh150i about a month ago, I had the Honda dealer install the Honda windshield and rear case. The aerodynamics of the windshield seem to work very well, of coarse I never rode this scoot without it so I can't compare the wind resistance. While riding I feel very little wind on me. I also often ride around 55 mph with the face shield up on my full face helmet, without sunglasses, and there is no wind in my eyes. I also like the design, it seems to go well with the rest of the shcooter.

Re: Honda Windshield?
I had the GIVI and hated it. It was too big, and too close to my face. I now have the Honda shield and I'm thrilled with it. Even in the rain I'm protected. It's pricy, but well worth it.

I got the Honda windscreen a whacked off about 2 1/8 inches. Perfect! I can just see over it and wind, rain and bugs go over my head.

Hi Baysidebob,
I took delivery of my SH150i yesterday and extremely satisfied with its performance, features and styling. I also got the dealer to install a Honda windshield, which I find a great feature. It is both sturdy and goods good protection without being overbearing. I've attached a photo of my scooter with the windshield and Honda trunk.

You have a different top box design from mine. Is that original Honda SH topbox?

Re: Honda Windshield?
Yes it is. It attaches and detaches very easily and has an integrated lock on the trunk that secures the trunk to the rear scooter rack as well as locks the trunk compartment.

Re: Honda Windshield?
I have the Honda windshield and after trimming a couple inches off the top to greatly improve night and rain visibility, am very satisfied......But lately, after having to cobble together some cold weather wind protection for my hands (after-market hand guards and Alligator duct tape!), I am wondering if the Givi wouldn't have been a better choice (affords hand protection too!) for cold weather riding. Something to consider.

Re: Honda Windshield?
Hi TommyXP and BaysideBob,
I just got my large GIVI windshield, and have not installed yet.
I can tell it's going to be too tall, and will need to be trimmed. I like the fact that it covers the hands, which is why I chose it over the Honda made version.
Questions:
What method did you use to cut yours? Dremel, band saw, etc. ?
Were you able to follow the original contour w/ radii ?
Thanks
